Columbus – Robbinsville’s 2023 shooting season wrapped up at March 18’s District 9 Tournament, held at the Polk County Gun Club in Columbus.
The middle school Black Knights finished ninth overall – amassing a total of 2,838 points – while the high school team placed 10th, scoring 3,108.
Ryan Lynn was Robbinsville top finisher, taking eighth overall with 665 total points. Lynn’s fortune was split between a 191 in archery; 190 in shotgun; 188 in rifle; and 96 in hunter skills. Other placers for the Knights were:

* David Lovingood (21st): 170, rifle; 160, archery; 150, shotgun; 118, hunter skills;
* Gabby Hernandez (62nd): 180, shotgun; 173, archery; 36, hunter skills;
* Myley Hyde (78th): 181, archery; 114, hunter skills.
Austin Angelo took 14th overall in the middle-school field, posting a 183 in archery; 180 in rifle; 150 in shotgun; and 82 in hunter skills.

Tuscola High (3,483) and Pisgah (3,426) both qualified for the state tournament, which is held annually in Ellerbe.
