Shooting team competes in MidWest event
Cruso – For the second straight week, Robbinsville’s shooting team hit the road for another competition; this time, the MidWest Tournament.
Overall, Robbinsville High finished fifth, with 2,507 team points (with 871 archery, 820 shotgun and 816 rifle splits), while Robbinsville Middle scored 1,368 cumulative points (494 in rifle, 444 in archery and 430 in shotgun).
Ryan Lynn paced the individual leaders for Robbinsville High, taking 11th in archery (196 points), 19th in rifle (182 points) and 26th in shotgun (180). Lynn finished 10th in the field.
For Robbinsville Middle, Rylen Orr recorded a 180 in shotgun, which secured a 15th-place finish in the event. Meanwhile, Myley Hyde posted a 145 in archery and a 136 in rifle, good for 37th in both events.
Orr finished the day with 451 collective points – to finish 21st – while Hyde placed 30th with 341.
Robbinsville will next compete in the District Tournament in Polk County on Saturday, March 19.
