Robbinsville High shines at history competition

Cullowhee – Robbinsville High School students recently competed in the National History Day Competition, held at Western Carolina University.   Sixteen students placed in various contests and every Robbinsville student qualified for the state competition, which will be held at Raleigh’s N.C.

Cullowhee – Western Carolina University has been listed by The Princeton Review as one of the most environmentally responsible colleges in North America for the ninth consecutive year. Western Carolina is included in the 2019 edition of the education services company’s “Guide to Green Colleges.

WNC offers admission to community college graduates

Cullowhee – Western Carolina University Chancellor Kelli R. Brown and Southwestern Community College President Don Tomas established the Catamount Compass Program on Oct. 1, which guarantees admission to Western Carolina for all Southwestern graduates who meet certain criteria.
