Death by distribution charges dropped

Robbinsville – Citing an inability to locate witnesses, charges that have been on the books against a local man for over three years were dismissed in Graham County Superior Court on Monday.

Lail case moved to March

Robbinsville – A new admin session has been scheduled for the second person charged with “death by distribution” in the history of the county. Zada Louise Lail – 54, of Robbinsville – is due back for the session March 1, 2024.

‘Death by Distribution’ changes enacted

Raleigh – The General Assembly passed – and Gov. Roy Cooper recently signed into law – Senate Bill 189, “Fentanyl Drug Offense and Related Changes.” The bill revises North Carolina’s Death by Distribution law, as well as fentanyl crimes.
