Celebration wraps up Saturday

Robbinsville – Graham County turned 150 in January, and the county kicked off celebrations with observance events in Fontana Village and Stecoah last weekend, with the main event — a two-day celebration in Robbinsville — kicking off Friday evening and continues throughout the day on Saturday.

Anniversary celebration planning gains momentum

Robbinsville – Plans are starting to come together for a mid-August celebration of Graham County’s 150th anniversary. Marshall McClung – a Forest Service retiree, with expertise in search and rescue – has been named grand marshal for the celebration.

Robbinsville – Planning inched forward for events to celebrate Graham County’s sesquicentennial (150th) anniversary. The third planning meeting for the celebration was held May 5, with more than a dozen people attending at the Graham County Community Building.

Robbinsville – Planning inched forward on Monday for events to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Graham County’s founding. Graham County was founded on Jan. 30, 1872, when it was carved out from Cherokee County.
