At any given time between May 16 – June 2, one could simply turn on either the Super Regionals or the Women's College World Series and spot a Graham County native on the field.

Of the 16 Smoky Mountain Conference titles that adorn the program's outfield scoreboard at Judy Nichols Memorial Field, Robbinsville has won the last seven in a row.

Cherohala – A 19-year-old man passed away from injuries sustained in a June 16 motorcycle accident on the Cherohala Skyway. According to a report from the N.C. Highway Patrol, Luke Henry Pennington was the sole rider on a 2005 Harley Davidson that was traveling south on N.C.

Volunteering her services

Robbinsville – In retrospect, the decision was made long ago. As a Graham County native, Zoie Shuler grew up just on the other side of the mountain from Knoxville, so a love for the Tennessee Volunteers almost came as a birthright.
