Speech therapist opens clinic in hometown

Tallulah – Ashton Massey said local health care providers were asked about unmet needs in Graham County and a common response was speech therapy. Massey was raised in Graham County, but was putting her education in speech therapy to use at PT Solutions at its locations in Bryson City and Sylva.

Tradition continues

Tallulah – Appalachian Mountain Community Health Center on Tallulah Road in Graham County has roots stretching back to the 1940s, when Drs. Nettie and Dick Parette established their practice in Robbinsville. When they retired, Dr.

‘Mother of medicine’

West Buffalo – Drs. Nettie and Dick Parette practiced medicine in Graham County from the late 1940s until they retired in the mid-1970s. A bridge was later named in their honor over Snowbird Creek on N.C. Highway 143/Snowbird Road. Now another N.C.
