Hanging up the uniform

Knoxville, Tenn. – After 26 years in the Navy, it is perhaps fitting that when it came time for Senior Chief Petty Officer Jerry Crisp to retire, he had to hurry up and wait.

Master of his craft

Jason Marino, a 24-year Navy Veteran and Graham County resident, was promoted to Master Chief earlier this month.  A Navy Seabee, Marino traveled to Greenville for a socially-distanced promotion ceremony.
