Robbinsville – Attendees of the final senior ceremonies this year will be able to enjoy cooler temperatures.
Robbinsville High School Principal David Matheson announced during his administrator update at Tuesday’s Graham County Board of Education meeting that both the baccalaureate and graduation exercises will be held at 8 p.m. at Modeal Walsh Memorial (Big Oaks) Stadium. The baccalaureate ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, May 24, with graduation to follow Friday, May 26.
Both events were moved from the high school gymnasium to the stadium in 2020 to help address concerns that arose from social distancing during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. The stadium allows for much more seating, but the ceremonies have been held earlier in the evening, with temperatures sweltering in the 80s.
For anyone that cannot attend the ceremonies in-person, both will be live-streamed on The Graham Star’s Facebook page.
