John Mark Jenkins
Robbinsville – A pair of prominent cases received some attention during Monday’s district-court calendar.
Among the many defendants present were John Mark Jenkins, 54, of Robbinsville and William Lon Wiggins, 21, of Provo, Utah.
Jenkins had his court date changed to Monday, Dec. 4, with a court-appointed attorney; Wiggins’ received a continuance until Feb. 12 and has retained the services of Frank Lay as his attorney.
Jenkins was charged Jan. 2 with possession of marijuana up to ½ oz., misdemeanor probation violation out-of-county, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver schedule II controlled substance; and maintain place controlled substance.
Additionally, he was arrested Sept. 2 and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver schedule II controlled substance, and maintaining place controlled substance, after a traffic stop yielded an alleged 90 grams of meth.
Wiggins has been charged with first-degree burglary, kidnapping, felonious restraint, first-degree forcible rape, second-degree forcible rape, and domestic violence protective order violation, in connection with an alleged early-April incident in Fontana Dam.
