Yale attendee biggest winner from Class of '23
Robbinsville – Less than two weeks before their days in high school come to an emotional close, the Robbinsville High School Class of 2023 learned how much aid they will receive to further their education.
Over $1.3 million in scholarships were announced May 16, as the bulk of the school's annual Academic and Scholarship Awards Program consisted of showing just why Graham County Schools has a winning formula for success – both in and away from the classroom.
Emerging as the top scholarship recipient this year is another Ivy League-bound student, Lindsay Brittain. She will be attending Yale University in the fall and is leaning toward obtaining a degree in public health. Coupled with grants, Brittain will begin her quest for a college diploma with a cozy $450,064.
She received the Horatio Alger, Mountain Lakes Board of Realtors, Robbinsville United Methodist Church, Greenhouse, Hagan, Yale, Federal S.E.O.G, North Carolina State Elks Association, Church Mouse, Red Cross, Joanne Cornerstone Ministries and Cody Family scholarships.
