A 20-year-old Robbinsville man remained in custody in the Graham County Jail on Tuesday morning, following his July 28 arrest on alleged kidnapping and assault charges.
Christopher Nathaniel Rabb was booked on felony charges of first-degree kidnapping, assault serious bodily injury and assault with a deadly weapon serious injury – as well as a misdemeanor charge of communicating threats – based off an alleged incident that took place between June 30 and July 26.
During that time period, Rabb allegedly held Hiwassee, Ga., resident Grace Berrong against her will, assaulted Berrong with his fist – causing injuries to her face, head and body – and even allegedly struck Berrong with a motor vehicle.
At one point, Rabb allegedly told Berrong, "You know, I should kill you" and "I'm gonna kill you, this is where it ends." Rabb also allegedly warned Berrong that "she should call her mother and tell her that she loves her, because it will be the last chance to tell her."
Rabb appeared in Graham County District Court on Monday, but his case was continued until Monday, Aug. 16.
