Bills of indictment returned; arrests made

A grand jury returned several bills of indictment Dec. 15, which led to a busy – and, at times, dangerous – span of arrests for the Graham County Sheriff’s Office.

Local man convicted for beating girlfriend

Robbinsville – A Graham County man beat his girlfriend so severely that he realized she needed medical attention, but then beat her some more so that he could convincingly say her injuries were from a traffic accident.

Restraining order granted to alleged victim

Robbinsville – A restraining order was granted to a female victim, following testimony in Graham County District Court on Tuesday.

Robbinsville man arrested on kidnapping, assault charges

A 20-year-old Robbinsville man remained in custody in the Graham County Jail on Tuesday morning, following his July 28 arrest on alleged kidnapping and assault charges.
