Class leaders reflect on high school experience
Robbinsville – Each year, two special students are recognized for not only their academic success but the challenges and personal commitments they have overcome to accept the titles of valedictorian and salutatorian of their graduating class.
This honor represents their years of hard work, commitment and perseverance.
The Class of 2025 valedictorian is Anderson (Anna) Audrey Wehr. Wehr is the daughter of Aron and Jessica Wehr.
In addition to graduating high school, she graduated from Tri-County Community College this spring with associate degrees in both art and science. While attending Robbinsville High, she was a member of the Friends of Athletes, HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America), Student Council, Noble Knights, Peer Helpers, Project Discovery, and the Beta, History and Spanish clubs. She was also a member of the school's dance team and a Black Knight cheerleader.
She also attended Governors School and received the Robbinsville High School Principal’s Award.
“Try to live in the moment," Wehr said, when asked for advice to give to the next year's graduating class. "It goes by faster than you think.”
“I think I will miss having such an amazing support system most of all when I leave Robbinsville High School,” she added.
This fall, Wehr will attend UNC-Chapel Hill and pursue a degree in exercise science.
This year's salutatorian is Ryan Nicolas Lynn. He is the son of Cheri and Andy Lynn.
In addition to receiving his high school diploma, Lynn also received associate degrees in art and science from Tri-County Community College.
Lynn was a member of the Robbinsville Marching Band, the Beta Club, Project Discovery and the Robbinsville Shooting Team. He plans to attend Liberty University and major in mechanical engineering in the fall.
“Enjoy every grade, because it goes by fast," Lynn advised to the Class of 2026.
Lynn said he will miss getting to see friends and teachers every day when he leaves Robbinsville High.
As this year's seniors prepare for their new chapter of life, they will gather for the last time as a class Friday, and celebrate their success of completing the last 12 years (13 if you count kindergarten) of their lives. Parents, relatives and friends will join them for the annual graduation exercise, which will begin at 7 p.m., inside the school's gym. Faculty members and coaches will cheer them on one last time as they walk across that stage and accept the diploma that they have spent the last four years of their lives dreaming about.
