Tallulah – A Kingsport, Tenn. man remains behind bars in Graham County this week, after arrests occurring on consecutive days.

On Monday Dec. 21, Graham County Sheriff’s Deputies and Detectives were dispatched to the Ledbetter Road area in reference to a possible stolen vehicle.

Upon arrival, the deputies found 31-year-old Ronnie Edward Litton near a burned vehicle. Deputies also found a large amount of methamphetamine while searching the scene.

Litton was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and issued an unsecured bond.

Later that day, Litton came to the Graham County Sheriff’s Office, offering information on an ongoing investigation. It was later found that he had lied to the sheriff’s office. A detective went to a residence Litton was supposedly staying at to attempt to arrest him on a second warrant. While at the door, the deputy was advised that Litton was attempting to sneak out of a window on the back of the house. Litton then fled into the woods, before being stopped by K9 Officer “Sam.” Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians Police Officers also assisted in his capture. Litton ignored several orders from the detective to stop during the foot chase, prior to his capture.

His Dec. 22 charges were trafficking methamphetamine, three counts of obstruction of justice, burning personal property and two counts of resisting a public officer.

Litton remains in the Graham County Jail on a $500,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
