Robbinsville – Amid questions brought on by social media and Google searches alike, Graham County’s urgent care provider issued an exclusive statement last week to The Graham Star regarding its hours of operation.
Since opening its doors to see patients on Oct. 9, AdventHealth Medical Group Multispeciality at Graham County has bridged the gap left by a pair of previous attempts to provide local, urgent-care services.
However, those in need of immediate medical care have expressed frustration online about being unable to access the facility when needed. Some have even called The Star directly, prompting this report.
There was a lot of start and stop about when AdventHealth would be able to see patients, as the Hendersonville-based organization worked to make sure credentialing was in order.
As noted in an Aug. 8 report by The Star, the facility planned to only be open 3-4 days a week starting out.
AdventHealth spokesperson Victoria Dunkle said the organization researched the complaints after The Star reached out for comment on the matter.
“We understand the importance of clear communication, especially regarding urgent care availability,” Dunkle said. “We recently updated our website and discovered the office hours information did not fully transfer. This issue has since been corrected.”
Dunkle clarified that AdventHealth Medical Group Multispeciality at Graham County is open for appointments and walk-ins from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Availability on Fridays and Saturdays is based on provider schedules; Dunkle advised patients to call ahead and confirm before visiting on either of those days.
The facility is closed Sundays. For details, call 828-479-7777 or visit AdventHealthNC.com.
