The COVID debacle has been a real boon to politicians and leaders across the nation.
Somehow – at just the right time – they convinced leagues of Americans to be afraid.
While I am never surprised when people with power try to gain more, I was surprised by the number of citizens who gave it away so easily. As 15 days to “slow the spread” quickly approaches two years, it appears that the battle is not over.
Last year, President Biden mandated that private employers with over 100 employees must require all of their personnel to receive vaccines. He knew this mandate would remove almost any chance for someone to remain unvaccinated and provide for their own family. He proceeded to weaponize the bureaucracies – specifically OSHA – against us.
Despite the fact that the battle continues, I am glad to say that we finally have a win. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled against Biden’s private employer vaccine mandate. They explained – after the 6-3 ruling – that OSHA does not have the authority to enforce such a mandate.
While OSHA has the power to require occupational hazard compliance, they have never had authority to regulate a public health issue. Not only this, but it was also reaffirmed that public health issues are under state jurisdiction rather than federal.
This is a large victory for citizens of our country. The right of states to maintain autonomy without fearing federal recourse is important for the American political system. As a result, it is important for every American family as well. My emphasis on this victory is to show what a few people can achieve if they stand against tyrants.
It’s hard to speak about these issues without drawing dividing lines. One man thinks it’s best to stay silent and preserve unity. Another thinks it’s enough to be against tyranny in word and thought. Yet another thinks that we must reject tyranny in word, thought and deed.
Without trying to cause shame or anger, I undoubtedly will. So here goes: the way to win the battle with tyranny is to actively reject it.
Silence is a losing strategy. The silent majority is losing because they were complacent while the left was not; the left was busy indoctrinating the children, dominating the entertainment industry, and growing the bureaucracy ever larger. Silence does not create unity: it simply doesn’t reveal the divisions.
Those who dare speak up now do so from behind a mask. This individual might find themselves doing something as ironic as wearing a “Don’t Tread on Me.” They may speak up, but the voice is muffled.
The winning strategy is simple: you must think rationally. You must speak up. You must stand up. You must be willing to make sacrifices to preserve your liberty. This victory in the court started with a lawsuit from the Daily Wire. With one million signatures – and a handful of companies joining them – they won.
Be thankful to the few who protected our liberty and remember: you can take your mask off to eat.
