Choose Jesus Christ, not meth and drugs

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).

The presence of sin makes one suffer from the wrong choices and direction in life.

A lot of people who are substance abusers will usually die of overdose, cancer, heart disease and other related ailments, because they think more on the pleasures of the flesh than the obedience to God. The foolishness of the pleasures of the flesh is thinking that there will be no consequences.

It is written in the Bible that it is a fearful thing to be in the hands of an angry God. By taking meth, you let Satan take control of your mind and that makes you  his personal puppet.

According to research, taking such addictive substances keep users totally awake for at least 2-3 days or longer. The users don’t have any idea of what evil it has brought upon themselves until it’s too late.

A former drug addict – now a born-again Christian – told this writer that he is very thankful that Jesus saved him. He will never turn back to drugs, because he has tasted the grace of God.

He cried to God and repented for all of his sins and since then, he has lived a much cleaner life – with no more addictive substances involved – while God molds him into a better Christian. He said after he prayed to receive Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior, he received that complete peace that doesn’t come from this world.

How about you, my dear readers: will you now choose Jesus Christ over crystal meth, or any other addictive substances you can think of?

God wants you to surrender your life to Jesus by repenting for your sins. And the moment you’ve done that process of accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior, God sees us with a new identity.

According to Ephesians 1, we have been blessed with every spiritual blessing: we have been chosen, adopted, redeemed, forgiven, grace-lavished and unconditionally loved and accepted. We are pure, blameless and forgiven. We have received the hope of spending eternity with God.

God can give you a true purpose in life. Once we are in Christ Jesus, He can give you your true identity.
