Board approves premium pay

Robbinsville – More Graham County employees will now benefit from premium pay, following a vote at the Graham County Board of Commissioners meeting Dec. 21. The board voted unanimously in favor of $1,500 in premium pay for detention officers employed between Jan. 1, 2020 and Nov.

Resort, town arrange payment plan

Fontana Dam – A large monthly payment will keep Fontana Village Resort on track to become current with the Town of Fontana Dam by June. During the town’s monthly council meeting on Dec. 18, Mayor Rob Hardy discussed the resort’s plan to catch up on back payments.

Discussions going on for Corridor K

Robbinsville – In a span of just 50 minutes on Sept. 17, the Graham County Board of Commissioners presented a bevy of information to the community. At the forefront was an update on the status of Corridor K. N.C.

Factors at play for Corridor K

Robbinsville – Corridor K may eventually happen, but it will not be the one that was imagined some 50 years ago, when discussions to build it first began. The beginning of construction on the project was recently moved up to 2026.
