Jail, EMS budgets analyzed

Robbinsville – Graham County Manager Brady Cody said that Tuesday's special-called commissioner meeting was part of a "budget check-up."  Cody said he has recently been meeting with department heads to chat about any lingering problems. "If there's an issue, we want to catch it early," Cody said.

Settlement reached on town sanitation bill

Robbinsville – A settlement regarding a sanitation bill in excess of $23,000 has been finalized. At June 17's Graham County Board of Commissioners meeting, county manager Brady Cody presented a May invoice for Robbinsville's past-due amount of $23,914.80.

County addresses ‘deficiencies’

Robbinsville – At long last, it appears the county has emerged from a treacherous storm and is beginning to tread water. At a continued board of commissioners meeting June 3, senior audit manager TD Hill with Lexington-based RH CPAs, PLLC presented the 2022-23 Graham County audit.

County eyeing $25M budget

Robbinsville – A draft of the much-discussed 2025-26 Graham County budget was presented to the board of commissioners at May 20's meeting. The county is targeting a balance of $25,453,201 for the fiscal year, which begins July 1 and continues through June 30.

No timetable for sanitation site repairs

Milltown – It might not appear as such on the surface, but county officials are well aware of the drainage issues at the Snowbird Sanitation Center.
