Judge issues courthouse warning

Robbinsville – It has been over six years since the Graham County Board of Commissioners were first given a directive: speed up the gameplan for a justice center.  To date, a site has yet to be selected.

Robbinsville – As every great story must come to an end, county librarian Mary Griffin’s final chapter concluded Aug. 22.

2 traffic stops, 2 arrests

This year’s on us

Robbinsville – Thanks to a collaboration between Smoky Mountain Smiles and Graham County Schools, students district-wide started the 2024-25 year Monday without having to pay for supplies.

Writing on ballots still allowed

Amid rumors and widespread social media posts hinting that a poll worker writing on a ballot makes the submission invalid, the N.C. Board of Elections sent out an Aug. 2 release to clear up the misconception. “In North Carolina, this is false,” reads a portion of the release.

Meals, buses and a new school

Robbinsville – A funding deficit on free lunches, the need to replace two activity buses and updates about plans to build a new elementary school were all presented in the early portion of Tuesday’s Graham County Board of Commissioners meeting.
