Robbinsville ‘releases’ finance officer

Robbinsville – Town Finance Director Sonya Webster was “released” by the Robbinsville Board of Aldermen on July 14, during a special-called meeting at Town Hall. During that meeting, the board went straight into closed session, along with Town Attorney Ellen Davis.

Permit fees set for alcohol sales

Robbinsville – If local businesses wish to hold a special event with alcohol included, they must pay the Town of Robbinsville $50 for a permit. At the municipality’s board of aldermen meeting Dec. 8, it was noted that Andrews’ price was $25 and Cherokee’s price was $75 for the same permit.

Aldermen take no action on shutoff ordinance

Robbinsville – One local municipality took no action on changing the town’s water shutoff rules, following a disagreement at its October meeting.  At its Nov. 3 regular meeting, the Town of Robbinsville Board of Aldermen discussed the water and sewer shutoff code of ordinance.

Aldermen approve tablet purchase, employee raises

Robbinsville – The town’s utility workers will soon have an updated system for meter reading and recording, replacing obsolete equipment.  Robbinsville’s Board of Aldermen voted 2-0 to purchase new handheld tablets from Southern Software, at a cost of $11,350.
