Hiker injured on Yellow Creek Falls

Tapoco – The Graham County 911 Center received a call around 1:25 p.m. Saturday that a 65-year-old male had fallen off the Yellow Creek Falls Trail, located off U.S. 129 North. The caller also advised that the man would need to be carried out.

Yellow Creek Falls trail gets new footbridge

Tapoco – The Yellow Creek Falls Trail now has a new footbridge, which replaced the old one that had fallen into disrepair and had become unsafe.  Hoot Gibbs – who does volunteer maintenance on the trail – had become concerned about the condition of the bridge.
