Robbinsville – Outside of his immediate family, Cuttler Adams did an excellent job keeping his college football plans hush-hush. Really, the decision was made months ago. Adams still weighed his options until just three weeks ago, when he informed his family that Yale University in New Haven, Conn.

Chase Calhoun made enough of a splash in the 6th Annual Indigenous Bowl that he was named the exhibition’s Defensive MVP. One traveled 909 miles to reach his destination; the other logged 2,166. Both returned to Graham County with national exposure and appropriate hardware.

The box score from Friday's game. Robbinsville – When Rylee Anderson hung up his jersey for the final time in 2019, he did it on perhaps the biggest high possible for a running back: fresh off a state title and fully cemented as the school (and Smoky Mountain Conference) all-time rushing leader.

Robbinsville – Cuttler Adams has been a busy man as of late. Realizing his potential to play at the next level, the perennial Black Knights running threat has turned up the heat on his quest to improve throughout 2023.

Valdese – There is just one more obstacle standing between six Robbinsville athletes and statewide immortality. A top-4 finish (or better) meant Brock Adams, Cuttler Adams, Claire Barlow, Kadence Howell, Kensley Phillips and Zoie Shuler all punched their tickets to the N.C.
