Success: affirmed

Robbinsville – It may be too early for such a bold question, but it is worth considering: who is going to stop the Robbinsville Lady Knights?

Near miss

Robbinsville – The Lady Knights had the Bulldogs on the ropes Tuesday night. Unfortunately, some late heroics for the visitors proved costly.

True grit

Robbinsville – Never, ever count the Lady Knights out. Recent adversities notwithstanding, Robbinsville (No. 2 seed) has found itself paired up with Murphy in the Smoky Mountain Conference tournament finals tonight, following a 28-30, 21-25, 10-15 slugfest with Cherokee (No.

Lady Knights unable to vanquish Murphy

Robbinsville – Things didn’t go according to plan. The Robbinsville Lady Knights (16-3, 7-2) held all the cards entering Oct. 7’s Smoky Mountain Conference home match against Murphy (17-1, 9-0); a chance to erase a road sweep at the hands of the Bulldogs on Sept.

Lady Knights eye divisional showdown

Robbinsville – Admittedly, the last time the Lady Knights faced Murphy, Robbinsville was not where it needed to be.

Lady Knights back in win column; sweep Devils

Bryson City – As make-ups continue to force Robbinsville into an unusual schedule, the Lady Knights ran into their first speed bumps of the season last week.

Things are all knotted up

Robbinsville – Anyone who expected another slugfest between Robbinsville and Murphy on Tuesday were left disappointed.  That is, unless you’re a Lady Knights fan.

2nd time through the order

Cherokee – The first leg of a 3-game road trip started on the right foot. The Robbinsville Lady Knights (5-1, 5-1) traveled to Cherokee on Friday and in five innings, disposed of the Lady Braves (2-3, 2-3) in an 11-0 rout.

Clash of the titans

Murphy – In a game that featured two teams combining for 24 runs, 26 hits, 27 runners left on-base, 16 walks and six errors, something had to give. Unfortunately for the Robbinsville Lady Knights, that something was their first loss of the season.
