Summerfield – For years, Robbinsville softball has been the standard-bearer for consistency and excellence across North Carolina.Yet, something was missing: a state championship.

Lady Knights cruise to 1st conference win

Robbinsville – After suffering through some heartbreakers and tough competition, the Lady Knights collected their first divisional victory of the season Tuesday.

Robbinsville – For the first few minutes of Tuesday’s Smoky Mountain Conference appointment with Hayesville, the Lady Knights seemed to have misplaced a crucial part of their gameplan.

Robbinsville cannot thwart sharp shooters

Newport, Tenn. – Coming off head coach Lucas Ford’s 100th win Jan. 3, the Lady Knights embarked on a pair of long road trips for non-conference action. Robbinsville (9-4) admittedly had a tough draw, facing a pair of 3A powerhouses in Cocke County, Tenn., on Friday and Pisgah on Monday.

Robbinsville – Needless to say, things fell in place for the Lady Knights on Tuesday.

How Sweet it is

  Robbinsville – Success does not come overnight. It takes a lot of groundwork, long hours in the gym and countless days of practice on off-days. So naturally, when a team has played together since third grade, success is bound to happen.
