Sheriff candidates share viewpoints at GOP forum

Graham Star graphic designer Madison Ledford showed how much fun a snow day could really be, as she took photos submitted by The Star's Facebook followers and created this page to win second place in the North Carolina Press Association's annual editorial contest.

Annas pens new chapter for Star

Tallulah – Proudly serving as Graham County’s hometown newspaper since 1955, The Graham Star has fulfilled a 7-month search for the next author of local events for its loyal readers. Ruby Annas began her journalism career as the Star’s new staff writer Sept. 18.

Graham Star wins 4 state press awards

Tallulah – Four of the N.C. Press Association’s 2021 awards were clinched by The Graham Star, which has provided unparalleled news coverage from and around Graham County, N.C. since 1955. The Star received one first-place nod, as well as three awards for third place. All winners of the 2021 N.C.

I Love Graham County cover contest open

Tallulah – The Graham Star – Graham County’s hometown newspaper since 1955 – is now accepting artwork for the cover of its annual I Love Graham County magazine, an information guide that spotlights local residents and businesses.

10 years ago * Graham County lost its second commissioner in three weeks. Bruce Snyder became the second commissioner to resign. The GOP Executive committee may choose a replacement commissioner to serve until Dec. 1. * Sign-ups started for county football and cheerleading for the upcoming season.
