Woman drowns in creek

Big Santeetlah – Officials have confirmed that a Huntsville, Ala. woman drowned in Big Santeetlah Creek on Oct. 7, and the death is being investigated as suspicious. Kathleen Polce Miller, 60, was at a campsite just past Stewart Cabin with her husband.
Members of the Graham County 4-H Club have had a busy summer, hiking to various waterfalls in the area, including Falls Branch on the Cherohala Skyway.

   Members of the Graham County 4H Club have been spending a lot of time in the woods this summer visiting area waterfalls.    So far this year, they have visited the following waterfalls: Burgan’s Creek, Yellow Creek, Falls Branch, Wright Creek, and Sassafras Creek.
