Local man was missing four days before discovery
Thomas Storm Moose
Cheoah – Graham County authorities are treating the discovery of a Robbinsville man’s body as “suspicious.”
Thomas Storm Moose, 24, of Robbinsville, was found dead off Lower Mountain Creek Road on Aug. 16. He had been reported missing to authorities on Aug. 12.
According to Graham County Sheriff’s Detective J.J. Wooten, the condition of the body upon discovery have led authorities to launch an investigation into Moose’s death, though he would not elaborate further.
Results from an autopsy had not been returned by press time Wednesday. Wooten did say family and friends were being interviewed, but no more details surrounding the investigation would be released until the interviews were completed.
