Sweetgum – Things went from bad to worse for a local resident during an investigative call last week. Members of the Graham County Sheriff’s Office responded to a May 15 call at 116 River Drive, regarding an incident of assault.

Urgent care opens Aug. 1

Robbinsville – Local residents can finally circle a day on their calendars for the return of urgent-care services to Graham County.

Ward Street raid nets 2 arrests

This crystal-like substance field-tested as methamphetamine and was just one piece of evidence seized by the Graham County Sheriff’s Office during the raid.

White guilty of sex with child

Robbinsville – After 13 ½ long years, justice has finally been served. A jury found 47-year-old Stecoah resident Michael Lee White guilty of felony first-degree sex offense with a child May 8, following an abbreviated trial in Graham County Superior Court.

Water loss continues to dampen town

Fontana Dam – An overhaul to one local municipality’s aging water system cannot come soon enough. Temporary repairs made to Fontana Dam’s pipelines are no longer a sustainable solution.
