I believe that Charles Kuralt had one of the greatest jobs in the world.  You remember Kuralt; he roamed the nation in his CBS motor home, looking for stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

How the candidates have dwindled

Remember the ant and the rubber tree plant? That ant had high hopes and so did a whole bunch of Presidential candidates.  So what happened to those political high hopes held by so many candidates of promise? Let’s start with the debate debacles: The format was horrible.

Sometimes, one thing leads to another.  I received a solicitation in the mail from the North Carolina Sheriffs Association which looked – at first glance – like it came from our local Sheriff Joseph W. Jones.  So I stopped by the Sheriff’s office and made an appointment to see him.
