‘Live Like Kortne’ day set

Robbinsville – As part of National Volunteer Week, the Graham Cancer Support Group has solidified a day to “Live Like Kortne.” Kortne passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer Dec. 31. The daughter of Dee and Tonia Walsh, Kortne’s legacy will continue on through a Community Service Project.

Schools get $511K grant

Robbinsville – Graham County Schools has received a $511,500 Golden LEAF Foundation grant that will be used to start a downtown coffee/sandwich shop and imprinting shop to teach Robbinsville High School students real-world workforce skills.

Tapoco – Graham County 911 received a call from a couple around 4:30 p.m. on March 29, stating that they had found an injured woman lying in a section of the Slickrock Trail from the trailhead below Tapoco Lodge.
