Chicago family rescued Christmas Day

Big Santeetlah – The Graham County Rescue Squad and U.S. Forest Service teamed up for a Christmas Day rescue of a family stranded in the snow at Swan Cabin in the Wolf Laurel section of Graham County.

One year later, still no answers

Big Santeetlah – Even though a year has passed, there are still few answers available on the drowning death of a Federal Bureau of Investigation forensic photographer in Graham County.

Big Santeetlah – Officials have confirmed that a Huntsville, Ala. woman drowned in Big Santeetlah Creek on Oct. 7, and the death is being investigated as suspicious. Kathleen Polce Miller, 60, was at a campsite just past Stewart Cabin with her husband.
