Water leak a teachable moment for Santeetlah

Lake Santeetlah – The town experienced a water line break along Nantahala Terrace over the past month, during which town officials learned about the need to issue “boil water” notifications to water customers affected by the break.

Water issues surface in Lake Santeetlah

Lake Santeetlah – Water was the recurring subject at the Town of Lake Santeetlah town council’s first in-person meeting since the COVID-19 pandemic. Two board members were absent from the Sept. 8 meeting – Diana Simon and Jim Hager.

First voter challenge evidentiary hearing set

Robbinsville – The first of two voter challenges pertaining to the outcome of the 2021 Town of Lake Santeetlah election results has been set. John and Tina Emerson will be challenged at a 9 a.m. hearing Wednesday, Sept. 28, at the Graham County Community Building, 196 Knight St.

Surveillance camera system pitched

Lake Santeetlah – The Graham County Sheriff’s Office is promoting a security camera system that will record vehicle license plate information and transmit that data to local government and law enforcement.
