* Robbinsville track season preview Robbinsville – With its most depth in years, the Robbinsville High School track program is destined for greatness. More than 30 athletes fill out the boys and girls’ rosters, with a large slew of state qualifiers returning from 2021.

Greensboro – It took just 16.35 seconds for Brock Adams to etch his name into the record books. At Friday’s 1A state track meet, Adams crossed the finish line of the boys 110-meter hurdles in first place, edging out North Rowan’s Tsion Delaney by just .10 of a second.

Cherokee – The sudden emergence of a Robbinsville freshman over the last month has shaken up the hopes of many girls track and field athletes who were hoping for a state championship bid. And the success is coming exactly 30 years after her father made waves of his own.

Robbinsville High to induct 4 new candidates

Robbinsville – Four new inductees have been selected for the Robbinsville High School Hall of Fame. Both the 1970 and 1973 state championship football teams, as well as Weston Haney and Terry Trost, will be inducted into the esteemed class at halftime of Friday’s home game against Swain County.
