Chapel Hill – After a lengthy period of conjecture, the North Carolina High School Athletic Association has finally revealed its plans for the upcoming 2025-29 re-alignment. Confirmed Nov.

Robbinsville – As times change, so do the environments that surround us. When the Far West Wrestling program picked up steam last winter, it was mostly because of the unusually-high amount of girls that trotted onto the mat to grapple. Yes, girls.

The streak stops here

Robbinsville – It had been two years, 26 consecutive division wins and 42 regular-season wins in a row since the Murphy Lady Bulldogs had fallen. But long after the Bulldogs suffered a 34-29 road loss at the hands of Hayesville on Jan. 10, 2019, Robbinsville eyed redemption.

Rosman could leave Smoky Mountain Conference

Raleigh – It appears that the geographical oddity of the Smoky Mountain Conference could soon be moving. The N.C. High School Athletic Association released the first draft of its 2021-25 Conference Realignment Plan on Dec. 10.
