Cullowhee – Just a few weeks after Western Carolina University re-named its softball complex after the program's founder, a high school team helped christen the field.The Robbinsville Lady Knights rolled onto campus April 9, playing as the away team in the annual neutral-site clash with the A.C.

With the season well past the midway point, it's time to pose a legitimate question: is there a team left on the road to a state championship that can derail the Robbinsville Lady Knights?

Black Knights tame Cougars in season debut

Copperhill, Tenn. – If Monday's season opener is any indication of what lies ahead, the Robbinsville Black Knights are going to be a team to watch at a statewide level this season.

Robbinsville – Four games in as many school days kept the local high school basketball stars busy.

Highlands – The Lady Knights have won each of their first three games this season by a combined 13 points. "Close" only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades, though – a "W" is all that matters.

Explosive innings propel Lady Knights to victory

Robbinsville – Until the bottom of the third, it was anybody’s ballgame. Dissatisfied with the outlook, the Lady Knights brought their bats to life. The end result? A 12-run segment, aided immensely by Dreylee Webster mashing a grand slam and a 2-run dinger from Sophie Roberts.
