William Anthony Ditmore, Sr.

William Anthony Ditmore, Sr., 78 of Robbinsville, N.C., passed away, Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Graham Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. He was a native of Graham County, and the son of the late Mack and Lena Orr Ditmore.

Black Knights receive 3 honorable mentions

With the conclusion of the 2022 spring sports season in the rearview mirror, the All-Smoky Mountain Conference baseball and softball awards were recently announced. Though no Robbinsville players made the All-Conference list, the future is bright.

Never too early to plan for Halloween

Robbinsville – Planning has started for the Trunk or Treat downtown Halloween celebration. The Robbinsville Tourism Authority met on June 29 for its monthly meeting and starting working out details for the annual celebration, held on Main Street and one of the town’s most popular annual events.

Robbinsville – A Superior Court judge has ordered a mediated settlement conference between Smoky Mountain Urgent Care and Graham County government before a trial can take place.

State installs signs on Ronnie Milsap Highway

Tapoco – Eighteen months after a seven-mile stretch of U.S. Hwy. 129 in Graham County was named in his honor, Ronnie Milsap Highway signs have been installed between Yellow Creek Road and just past Meadow Branch Road, not far from the community where Milsap was raised. The N.C.

Andrew (Andy) Leslie McLucas, 67 of Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 24, 2022, at his home. Andy was born in Ocala, Fla. to Bob and Jerry McLucas on Oct. 10, 1954. He attended Lake Weir High School, graduating with the class of 1972.
