Body

Alvin Edwin Crisp, 45 of Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 19, 2021, in Dalton, Ga.

He was the son of Sheila Lynn Crisp and the late Rev. Luther Crisp, who passed away on April 28, 2021.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Wade Crisp.

Alvin had a contagious smile and a laugh that would fill any room. His light-hearted approach to life helped him face any obstacles that came his way. He had friends nationwide and was known in the construction industry as a very skilled diesel mechanic.

In addition to his mother, Alvin is survived by his daughters – who were his reason for living – Anna Camille Crisp of Pigeon Forge, Tenn. and Tyler Madison Crisp of Greeneville, Tenn.; his sisters, Maria Stewart of Pickens, S.C. and Becky Hooper of Robbinsville, N.C.; and his brother, Mark Crisp of Robbinsville, N.C.

He has several nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 26, 2021, at Lone Oak Baptist Church. The Revs. Patrick O’Dell, Coy Adams and Harold Beasley officiated.

The family received friends from noon until 2 p.m. Monday at the church, prior to the service.

Burial followed the service at Santeetlah Cemetery.

Townson-Smith Funeral Home was honored to serve the Crisp family.
