Avis Carver Pressley, 62 of the Dick Branch community in Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021, at her residence.
She was the daughter of the late Grady and Flonnie Collins Carver. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tracy Pressley Guffey.
Avis is survived by her husband of 46 years, David Pressley; her daughters, Angela Patterson, Debra Pressley, Joni Pressley and Jessica Pressley, all of Robbinsville, N.C.; her son, Joshua Pressley of Robbinsville, N.C.; and her sisters, Lavada Millsaps and Audrey Carver, both of Robbinsville, N.C. She has 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at noon Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, at the Pressley Family Cemetery. The Rev. Mickey Stewart will officiate.
Due to the risk of exposure to COVID, facial coverings and social distancing are required for those attending the service.
