Billy Lamar Birchfield Sr., 74 of Robbinsville, N.C., passed away, Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at his residence.
He was a native of Graham County, and the son of the late Ed and Reva Dale Hooper Birchfield. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jim Birchfield, Tom Birchfield, sisters, Lillian Jones, and Linda Fay Jones.
He is survived by his daughter, Susie Williams of Robbinsville, N.C.; son, Billy L. Birchfield, Jr. of Winston Salem, N.C.; sister, Mary Birchfield of Robbinsville, N.C.; granddaughters, Aleighsa Birchfield and Jennifer Outen; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2022, at the Townson-Smith Funeral Home Chapel.
The Rev. Daniel Stewart officiated.
The family received friends from 1-2 p.m. at the chapel, prior to the service.
