Chyneer Turpin Burchfield, 82 of Robbinsville, N.C., passed away, Saturday, June 29, 2021, at her daughter’s residence in Dalton, Ga.
She was a native of Graham County and the daughter of the late Frank and Doshia Anderson Turpin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, G.F. Burchfield in 2001; her sons, Michael Burchfield and Nathan Burchfield; her daughter-in-law, Denise Burchfield; and her 12 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Paul and Brenda Burchfield, Steve Burchfield, and Shannon Burchfield all of Robbinsville, N.C.; daughters and sons-in-law; Mavis Ann Franklin and Terry Meadows of Dalton, Ga. and Teresa and Daryl Orr of Robbinsville, N.C.; and her brother, Beacher Turpin of Robbinsville, N.C.
She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Shane Evans, Travis Orr, Aaron Orr, Braxton Sawyer, Chad Burchfield, Chastity Orr, Chesley Barton, Haylee Phillips, Natosha Burchfield; 12 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at the Townson-Smith Funeral Home Chapel. The Revs. Patrick O’Dell and Max Turpin officiated.
Burial followed the service at Lower Yellow Creek Cemetery.
The family received friends from noon until 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Chapel, prior to the service.
