Claude E. Shuler

Claude E. Shuler, age 74 of the Lower Mountain Creek Community of Robbinsville, N.C., passed away, Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020 at Piedmont Hospital of Newnan, Ga.

He was a native of Graham County and the son of the late Frank Shuler and Rebecca Cable Shuler.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Mary Millsaps Shuler and his granddaughter, Mattison Lee Moody.

He is survived by his wife, Rosa Lee Wilson Shuler; sons and daughters-in-law, Mark Shuler of Chattanooga, Tenn., Marty and Tammy Moody of Robbinsville, N.C., Randy and Felicia Moody of Robbinsville, N.C.; brothers, E.J. Shuler, Richard Shuler both of Columbia, S.C., Ray Shuler of Robbinsville, N.C., Eddie Shuler of Jacksonville, Fla.; sisters, Terri Hammond, Betty Shuler, Linda Pierce, Vickie Johnson, Frankie Shuler; sister-in-law, Ann Shuler all of Columbia, S.C.; grandchildren, Josh Shuler of Chattanooga, Tenn., Dillon Moody, Miranda and Coy Buchanan, and Mariah Moody all of Robbinsville, N.C.; and special great-niece, Montana Buchanan.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, 2020 at the Townson-Smith Chapel. The Revs. Noah Crowe and Tom Buchanan officiated. 

Burial followed at the Mountain Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. 

The family received friends from noon - 2 p.m. Sunday at the Chapel, prior to the service.
