Elwanda Phillips

Elwanda Phillips, 62, of the Meadow Branch Community near Robbinsville, N.C., passed away on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2019, at Care Partners Solace Center in Asheville, N.C. 

A native of the Chattanooga, Tenn. community, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Nannie Mae Wilcox Gunther.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Tim Gunther. 

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and Steve Icenhower of Robbinsville, N.C.; her granddaughters, Madison Phillips of Andrews, N.C., and Tatum Phillips, of Robbinsville, N.C.; her great-grandson, Jaxxon Rollins; and her sisters and brothers-in-law, Imogene and James Burnette of Georgia, and Linda Gail and Charles Daniels of Tennessee. 

Plans for a service are incomplete at this time.
