Dean passed away Jan. 23, 2021 in Phoenix, Ariz., due to complications from COVID-19. Steve passed away Oct. 28, 2021 in Daytona Beach, Fla., after a serious bout with pneumonia.

Dean was an avid lover of Amish culture and literature, and enjoyed time reading, watching TV and spending time with her family. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her world.

Dean moved to Phoenix, Ariz. in 2019, where she spent her remaining years living with her daughter.

Steve resided in Daytona Beach, Fla. and was a butcher at Publix Supermarket. Anyone who knew him always looked forward to chatting with him during their trip to the store. He was known by all to be a friendly, laidback and kind man with a good sense of humor. He was a hard worker, determined to provide for his family and always tried his best to support them. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, and he was unendingly proud of his children and grandchildren.

Dean is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Braswell (Dr. David Braswell) and Stephanie Burgess (Ryan Burgess); daughter-in-law, Barbara Queen, grandchildren, Amanda Stapleton (Corey), Megan Kennedy (Ronnie), Austin Queen, Chelsea Kipper (Tyler), Kelly Desimone, Courtney Phoenix (Matthew), Ethan Goodpaster, Eli Goodpaster and Erin Goodpaster; 12 great-grandchildren; niece, Dana Cook; and sister-in-law, Carol Cook.

She was predeceased by her parents, Austin and Winnie Ledbetter Cook; and her brother, Kenneth Morris Cook.

Steve is survived by his wife, Barbara Queen; and children, Amanda Stapleton (Corey), Megan Kennedy (Ronnie) and Austin Queen.

He is also survived by his father, Larry Queen (Celia); sisters, Rhonda Braswell and Stephanie Burgess; five grandchildren; and extended family and friends.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Edward and Wilma Mae Queen, and Austin and Winnie Cook; and uncles, Kenneth Morris Cook and William “Billy Ed’ Queen.
