James David Brooks, 73 of Robbinsville, N.C., passed away, Monday, June 13, 2022, at his home.
David was a native of Graham County, and the son of the late J.D. and Burdell Anderson Brooks. He was also a Veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Bettye Kirby Brooks; daughter, Davi Brooks of Robbinsville, N.C.; sons and their wives, Thomas and Kristi Brooks of Lebanon, Tenn., and Jacob and Bethany Brooks of Franklin, Tenn.; grandchildren, Hannah, Noah, Adelynn, and Hudson, whose arrival is expected very soon.
Funeral services were held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2022, at the Townson-Smith Funeral Home Chapel. The Revs. Scott Roper and Noah Crowe officiated.
Burial followed the service at the Lone Oak Baptist Church Cemetery, where Military Honors and Flag Presentation were conducted by the N.C. National Guard Honor Guard.
The family received friends from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the Townson-Smith Funeral Home chapel, prior to the service.
