James Pringle Ewing, 80 of Robbinsville, N.C., passed Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021. He was 80.
James was born Nov. 16, 1941, to the late Margaret McMurray Ewing and John Ewing in Philadelphia, Pa.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
He was a fly fisherman, a woodworker, and a San Jose Sharks ice hockey fan.
Jim worked with General Electric, Xerox, Fremont Litho and Williams Catello Printing. He was a resident of Pleasanton, Calif., before moving to Robbinsville 20 years ago. Jim was a member of Bryson City Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by two sisters, Kay Tajirian and Ellen Rother.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Ellen Pease Ewing; children, Douglas John Ewing of Robbinsville, N.C. Robert Bruce Ewing of Minnetonka, Minn. and Tracey Ann Ewing of Drexel Hill, Pa.; and grandchildren, Amanda Margaret Ewing of Boston, Mass., Jessica Michelle Ewing of Minnetonka, Minn., Maggie Ewing of Vacaville, Calif., and Robert Michael Ewing of Minnetonka, Minn.
