James Weldon Nation, 95 years old, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021.
He was married to Lois Queen Nation and had three step-children: Katre Farmer, Dale Queen, Althea Butler; and one son, Charles Nation.
Weldon was a World War II Veteran of the U.S. Army and was retired as a carpenter from Western Carolina University.
Funeral services were Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021, with the Revs. Shane Silvers, Eddie Stillwell and Ned Pressley officiating.
Burial was Monday, Oct. 18, 2021, with full military rites accorded at the graveside.
