Jimmy Ray Carver, 70, went home to be with his heavenly Father on Friday, Jan. 3, 2020.

He was the son of the late James and Louise Cable Carver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Lane and his brother, Larry Carver. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Carver, his daughter, Lorae Kilkowski and her husband, Bruce, and grandsons, Ben and Brooks Kilkowski of Cypress, Texas. 

He is also survived by his three step-children, John Carver, Jodi Carver, and Kandis Burchfield of Robbinsville, N.C., 10 step-grandchildren, and five step great-grandchildren. He is survived by his brothers, Bill Carver and Kenneth Carver of Robbinsville, his sisters, Betty Stiles, Kathy Crawford, and Sandra Daniels of Robbinsville, and Joyce Patterson of Marble, N.C.

Jimmy was a native of Graham County and was retired. He was a member of First Baptist Church, of which he served as a Deacon and loved singing in the choir. He was an encourager to a lot of people and shared his faith with everyone. He will be missed by many.

Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, 2020 at Robbinsville First Baptist Church. Revs. Rance Shuler and Noah Crowe will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Friday at the Church, prior to the service.   

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jimmy’s memory to Robbinsville First Baptist Church, 101 Church Street, Robbinsville, N.C. 28771.
