John W. Miller, age 88 of the Old Sweetwater Road community of Robbinsville, N.C., passed away, Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022, at his residence.
He was the son of the late Marshall H. and Helen Nokes Miller. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Rogers Miller in 2014.
John was a native of the Georgetown District of Washington D.C., but fell in love with Robbinsville, N.C. after moving here in 1998.
He is survived by his children, John Marshall Miller (Rose), Roger Warren Miller (Donna), and Pamela Ann Major (Bill) all of Prince William Co., Va., and Brian Keith Miller (Lotte) of Robbinsville, N.C.; brother, George Miller of California; sisters, Faith Matthews of California, Ann Edwards of Maryland; sisters and brothers-in-law, Anne and Jim Hager of Robbinsville, N.C. and Evelyn and David Mills of Cartersville, Ga.
He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren, including Dylan Anderson.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022, at the Robbinsville United Methodist Church.
The Revs. Eric Reece and G.D. Phillips will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the church, prior to the service.
